Good evening,
I wanted to do a follow-up to last week's three -minute presentation.
The following day I was contacted by Tony Lee from the permit services.
He assured me they had sent out a letter to the owner of 2519 Fulton
Ave. Everett.
To date the yard has been somewhat mowed,
There is a large trunk and branches from the last storm and an
assortment of discarded wood leaning against the fence. The tree is a
hazard to those who live close by.
I have included the CITY OF CHICAGO Vacant building owner
requirements.
1. Secure the property.
2. Insure the property.
3. Register th.e property.
4. Post the property.
5. Maintain the property.
•
1.The Everett Fire Department does life safety inspections, which
includes vacant buildings.
2. I feel it is time to revise Everett's codes
I have found it difficult finding Codes addressing current issues. Street
and sidewalks and health and safety seems it. Without a direct
consequence to vacant building the city and the police department will
spend hundreds of hours policing this type of property.
Alan Miller
