1 <br /> 2 (******) <br /> 3 The Work included in this Section shall include all temporary pavement markings used <br /> 4 on the project. This shall include all temporary pavement markings applied to milled <br /> 5 surfaces that will be exposed to traffic and all new pavement lifts that will be exposed to <br /> 6 traffic. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 8-23.2 Materials <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Section 8-23.2 is supplemented to read as follows: <br /> 11 <br /> 12 (***..*) <br /> 13 Materials for temporary markings shall be paint or reflectorized aluminum tape, as <br /> 14 directed by the Engineer and selected from approved materials listed in the Qualified <br /> 15 Products List. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Temporary paint shall be used on subsurface pavements and may be paved over. Should <br /> 18 sudden inclement weather create a pavement too wet to install temporary paint, <br /> 19 temporary flexible raised pavement markers shall be installed on 40' intervals as directed <br /> 20 by the Engineer. Temporary flexible raised pavement markers shall be selected from <br /> 21 approved materials listed in the Qualified Products List. Temporary flexible raised <br /> 22 pavement markers shall be nailed to the subsurface pavement and removed prior to <br /> 23 paving. Reflectorized aluminum tape shall be used on new pavement and removed <br /> 24 during permanent marking application <br /> 25 <br /> 26 8-23.5 Payment <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Section 8-23.5 is supplemented read as follows: <br /> 29 <br /> 30 (******) <br /> 31 Temporary Pavement Marking will be paid for under bid item "Temporary Pavement <br /> 32 Markings" per linear foot. This shall be full pay for constructing, maintaining, and <br /> 33 removing temporary lines and markers as specified.
