<br /> ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
<br /> Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals for the 2023 Pavement Maintenance Overlay will be received at
<br /> the office of the City Clerk, 15t Floor Everett Municipal Building, 2930 Wetmore, Everett, Washington 98201, until
<br /> 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.At the appointed time, all bids will be opened at the Procurement Office
<br /> on the 9th floor and read aloud publicly via live streaming. Interested parties are encouraged to watch via live
<br /> streaming; however, bidders may also attend the bid opening in person. The link for the webcast is located at
<br /> https://everettwa.gov/319/Procurement.The engineer's estimate for this project is $1,617,129.51.
<br /> The work includes, but is not limited to: *the construction of up to 5,641 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt, Class%-inch,
<br /> PG 64-22,two inches(2")thick,on selected City Streets, including grinding, utility adjustments,such as manhole,
<br /> catch basin, inlet, valve box, monument case and cover, striping, channelization.* and performing all Work as
<br /> required by the Contract Documents.
<br /> Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to
<br /> Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects",
<br /> "Public Works", and "City of Everett". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents
<br /> with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and
<br /> a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders "Register" in order to receive automatic e-
<br /> mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the "Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that
<br /> do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan
<br /> room for addenda issued on this project. Contact Builders Exchange of Washington at (425) 258-1303 should
<br /> you require assistance with access or registration.
<br /> All bids must be made upon the forms provided in the bidding documents for this purpose and must be
<br /> accompanied by a bid bond or certified check or cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of
<br /> the total amount of the Bid.
<br /> The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any irregularities or informalities. No bidder may
<br /> withdraw his bid after the hour set for the opening thereof. The City further reserves the right to make the bid
<br /> award as deemed in the best interest of the City. The right is reserved by the City to postpone the award for a
<br /> period of forty-five (45) days after bid opening.
<br /> The Contractor will be required to comply with all local, State, and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to
<br /> equal employment opportunities.
<br /> The City of Everett, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to
<br /> 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract
<br /> entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair
<br /> opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of
<br /> race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
