1 The unit contract price for "Adjust Existing Monument Casing to Grade" shall include all <br /> 2 costs to adjust the casting to finished grade. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 8-20.GR8 <br /> 6 Illumination, Traffic Signal Systems, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and <br /> 7 Electrical <br /> 8 <br /> 9 8-20.2.GR8 <br /> 10 Materials <br /> 11 <br /> 12 8-20.2.INST1.GR8 <br /> 13 Section 8-20.2 is supplemented with the following: <br /> 14 <br /> 15 CNH 8-20.2(9-29.3(2)) DETECTOR CABLE.DOCX <br /> 16 Fiber Optic Cable, Electrical Conductors, and Cable <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Section 9-29.3 is supplemented with the following: <br /> 19 <br /> 20 9.29.3(2)F Detector Loop Wire. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Section 9-29.3(2)F is revised to read as follows: <br /> 23 <br /> 24 (******) <br /> 25 Detector loop wire for round loops shall use 14 AWG stranded copper <br /> 26 conductors, and shall conform to IMSA Specification 51-7, with cross-linked <br /> 27 polyethylene (XLPE) insulation encased in a polyethylene outer jacket (PE <br /> 28 tube). <br /> 29 <br /> 30 (******) <br /> 31 9.29.3(2)J Loop Detector Lead-In Cable (New Section) <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Loop Detector Lead-In Cable (1 pair) <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Two conductor shielded #14 AWG lead-in cable conforming to IMSA <br /> 36 Specification #50-2-1984 shall be installed where shown in the wiring schedule <br /> 37 in the Plans. Where existing loop lead-in cable is present, the existing cable shall <br /> 38 be pulled out and disposed of. The new lead-in cable shall be spliced to the loop <br /> 39 wires utilizing Buchanan splice caps and crimper and a scotch cast epoxy 82- <br /> 40 B1 splice kit or approved equal as detailed in City Standard Drawings 806A, B <br /> 41 and C. Where the wiring schedule in the plans calls for more than one loop <br /> 42 detector to be spliced into a single lead-in cable, the loops shall be wired in <br /> 43 series. The loop detector lead-in cable shall be pulled into the controller cabinet <br /> 44 and connected to the detector channel terminals as indicated in the loop detector <br /> 45 schedule in the plans. <br /> 46 <br /> 47 Loop Detector Lead-In Cable (2 or 3 pair) <br /> 48 <br /> 49 Two or three pair loop detector lead-in cable shall be installed where shown in <br /> 50 the wiring schedule in the plans. Belden 1037A and 1055A cables are a pre- <br /> 51 approved source.
