,° ORDINANCE NO. 2288-98 AN ORDINANCE creating a special improvement project entitled "Northern Extension of Interurban Trail - Stage II", Fund 303, Program 034, to accumulate all costs for the improvement project. WHEREAS, the City of Everett is committed to a trail program as a part of the City Transportation Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, the City of Everett has received approval for the utilization of Federal funds for the northern extension of the Interurban Trail - Stage II; and NOW,THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: A special improvement project is hereby established as Fund 303, Program 034, entitled "Northern Extension of Interurban Trail - Stage IP" to accumulate all costs for the improvement project. Section 2: Authorization is hereby given to accumulate costs and distribute payments from Fund 303, Program 034, for design and construction of the improvement project. Section 3: Authorization is hereby granted for the "Engineering/Public Services Director", under direction of the Mayor, to assume full and complete responsibility for conducting all tasks and doing all things to accomplish the actions authorized in this ordinance. Section 4: The sum of $570,000.00 is hereby appropriated to Fund 303, Program 034, "Northern Extension of Interurban Trail - Stage II" as follows: A. Estimated Project Costs Preliminary Engineering $ 65,500 Construction $ 504,500 Total Estimated Cost $ 570,000
