w r <br /> • <br /> (d) The fee for any Poultry Market License shall <br /> be and the same is hereby fixed at the stun of Twenty-five Dollars <br /> (425.00) per annum, which sum shall include the fee for one <br /> Poultry Handler' s License . <br /> (e ) Any person desiring to act or be employed <br /> as a Poultry Handler, and who is not licensed as a Meat Salesman <br /> under the terms of Ordinance No. 2730, shall present himself to <br /> the Health Officer of the City of Everett for medical examination, <br /> which includes the Wasserman test. If such Health Officer shall <br /> find that such person has no contagious or communicable diseases <br /> he shall issue such person a health certificate. Said applicant <br /> 1• T� <br /> shall present the said health certificate to the City Clerk of <br /> the City of Everett and apply for a license as Poultry Handler <br /> and shall pay to the 'ity Treasurer of the 0ity of Everett the <br /> sum of Two and 50;100 Dollars (4.50) . <br /> Said license for roul-try Handler shall expire on the <br /> 31st day of December of each year. <br /> The Health Officer shall have the power to call for a <br /> health examination of any poultry market employee, at any time <br /> he deems it necessary. <br /> Any such license may be revoked by the Neat Inspector <br /> for unclean habits of the holder, negligence in the handling of <br /> poultry, fraud , dishonesty in the sale of poultry, acquisition <br /> of a dangerous or loathsome disease, or if the poultry handler <br /> or employee is afflicted with a contagious or infectious disease, <br /> or any violation of the ordinances of the City of Everett, the <br /> laws of the State of Washington, or Federal laws relating to <br /> the preparation, handling or sale of goods. <br /> Oection 3: REFRIGERATION. Fowls scolded and picked <br /> shall be kept at a temperature not to exceed 40 degrees F. <br /> Dry plucked fowls shall be kept in a manner approved by the <br /> Health Officer at a temperature not to exceed 60 degrees F. <br /> Section 4 : No live fowls shall be kept in any cella <br /> or basement, but all such fowls shall be housed in coops in a <br /> well ventilated building, the floor and walls of which shall be <br /> kept clean at all times. The coops shall be elevated above the <br /> floor and so built as to have removable trays instead of solid <br /> floors and shall be kept clean, and shall be whitewashed and <br /> sprayed with an efficient insecticide at frequent intervals. <br /> Such building shall be so located as to avoid annoyance to person. <br /> occupying adjoining property, either by noise or offensive odors, <br /> and all fowls kept therein thall be properly fed and cared for. <br /> Section 5 : The floors of the rooms in which fowls <br /> are killed shall be built of concrete and in such manner as will <br /> permit being properly cleaned and flushed, and equipped with <br /> proper drains. Wherever possible they shall be connected with <br /> the sewer, and where it is impossible to connect with the sewer <br /> they shall drain into septic tanks approved by the Health <br /> Officer. All offal and feathers shall be placed iwniediately int. <br /> -2- <br />
