ORDINANCE NO. ________ An Ordinance creating a special construction project entitled “Parks Restrooms Renovation Project”, Fund 354, Program 088, to accumulate design costs for the project in the amount of $240,000. WHEREAS, A.The City Council recognizes the need to maintain City facilities. B.The City has identified deficiencies with the Howarth Park, Thornton A. Sullivan Park, Legion Park, and Forest Park restrooms which requires repairs and upgrades. C.The City understands the importance and significance to upgrade the restrooms to be ADA compliant and build additional family-style restrooms in the parks. D.The City Council recognizes the need to renovate and repair the restrooms at Howarth Park, Thornton A. Sullivan Park, Legion Park, and Forest Park. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. A special construction fund is hereby established as Fund 354, Program 088, Parks Restrooms Renovation Project and shall be entitled “Parks Restrooms Renovation Project” to accumulate costs for the project. Section 2. Authorization is hereby granted to the Parks & Facilities Director under the administration of the Mayor, to assume full responsibility for conducting all tasks and performing all necessary steps to accomplish the actions authorized by this Ordinance. Section 3. The cost of the design of this project is $240,000 not including costs related to construction. Section4: The sum of $240,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund 354 Program 088, Parks Restrooms Renovation Project Fund.
