0 •
f
Drew Martin
From: Drew Martin
Sent: Wednesday,August 24, 2022 10:00 AM
To: Michelle Leszcynski
Cc: George Tsai; Sue Genty
Subject: RE: [EXTERNAL] RE: City of Everett Permit Services: 5631 Evergreen Way (B2206-011) -
Second Building Review
Attachments: IMG 1777.JPG
Thank you for the update. Based on this response, this email will serve as the Building correction letter. Please resubmit
two new full-size copies of the revised drawings. The following should be addressed in the drawings:
1. Update drawings as needed to heat the second floor. Level should be insulated per current code requirements,
including the floor separating the space from the level below. Interior doors separating heating and unheated
space should be exterior doors with the required thermal ratings. Existing doors and windows should be
upgraded if they do not comply with current code requirements.
2. Energy credits should be specified per WSEC Chapter 4. A list of credits and the performance requirements
should be specified. Where selected credits require upgrades to the insulation, the thermal values should be
revised; do not specify both default and improved values.
3. Sheet AO should be revised to incorporate the redline edits shown in the attached photo.
4. The project includes windows, including in the doors, that require safety glazing. All safety glazing should be
specified in the drawings.
5. Windows in doors should comply with ICC A117.1-09 Section 404.2.10; windows should not be higher than 43
inches above the finished floor.
6. The structural sheets should be revised to remove all structural calculations. Only details required for
construction should be included. Based on a review of the drawings, only the Plan and Details 1 and 2 on Sheet
S1 are required. Improved quality reproductions should be used. The plan is not legible and should be enlarged.
I will be out of the office. Please contact another reviewer if you have questions.
Drew Martin, P.E.,S.E.
imAssociate Engineer—Commercial Plans Examiner I Permit Services
425.257.8810 13200 Cedar Street, 2nd Floor, Everett,WA 98201
EVERETT Phone Hours: M/W/T: 8 am - 12 pm & 1 pm—3 pm;Tu: 1:00pm-3:OOpm
everettwa.gov/permits I Facebook I Twitter
Note:Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public
Records Act.
From: Michelle Leszcynski<michelle@sgidinc.com>
Sent:Wednesday,August 24, 2022 9:42 AM
To: Drew Martin<dmartin@everettwa.gov>
Cc:George Tsai<george.tsai@royalmeatllc.com>; Sue Genty<sue@sgidinc.com>
Subject: RE: [EXTERNAL] RE: City of Everett Permit Services: 5631 Evergreen Way(B2206-011)-Second Building Review
Hi Drew
I discussed it with the client and the break room, office space and restrooms do need to be built out with this build-out.
1 L\
