We have completed the second review of the building plans for this project. Multiple comments have not been sufficiently addressed and require additional action. Additional comments have also been included based the review of the revised drawings. This email will serve as the review letter. Two copies of revised documents should be submitted for review, including an itemized response letter. The comments below have been itemized for consistency with the original comments. Comments 4. Structural drawings providing details have not been included as required. The following comments should be addressed: a. The 8.5x11 page in the structural calculations is not sufficient. Full size sheets matching the mechanical sheets should be provided. Revised mechanical drawings coordinated with the existing design already permitted are enclosed. M-1 and M-2 show all the mechanical equipment along with any structural work required to complete the mechanical. This includes the cut out and reinforcement of two openings in the tilt up, installation of the 5 radiant heaters (gas is by plumbing sub), EF-1, AH-1, HP-1, AC-2, and ERV-1. The original building permit set did not include structural drawings of the walls with the dust lid above forming the new break room, bathrooms,janitors closet, and IT room. Information provided by you confirming the as- built conditions of this framing are shown on sheet M-3, this sheet also locates the origin of the lateral force analysis of this are. Details were from our office details modified from another project. AGAIN THIS INFORMATION IS PROVIDED FOR REFERENCE, PRODESIGN IS NOT THE ENGINEER OF RECORD ON THIS WORK, only to verify the effect of the HVAC loads onto the building structure. b. The page in the structural calculations does not provide details for the support of suspended equipment as required. Independent vertical and lateral support is required for all suspended equipment exceeding 20 pounds. See IBC Sections 1604.1 and 1613.1, and ASCE 7-16 Chapter 13. Revised structural calculations are enclosed. The supports on the plywood sheathed dust lid that is framed by 6" 18 ga studs @ 16"oc with 3-5/8" 18 ga wall studs, also at 16"oc.
