• .. <br /> . <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2845 . <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for an additional emergency <br /> expenditure to cover cost inbonnection with the refunding <br /> of 4700,000.00 of Water Revenue Bonds under Ordinance No. <br /> 2839 of the City of Everett , a:ld declaring an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1 : That a public emergency exists and the <br /> amount of the expenditure therefor could not have been <br /> reasonably foreseen at the time of making the budget for the <br /> year 1939 , to-wit: In October 1938. That said emergency <br /> has been caused by the f act that the City Council of the <br /> City of Evefett determined that it was advisable to refund <br /> $700,000.00 of water Revenue Fund Bonds of the "ity of <br /> Everett as provided in Ordinance No. 2839 of the said city. <br /> That in connection with the refundz ng of said bonds it w s <br /> necessary to make the following expenditures for the follow- <br /> ing purposes, to-wit: <br /> Advertising $500.00 <br /> Legal expense 751 .60 <br /> Interest on money advanced <br /> to redeem bonds 1, 189 .02 <br /> Miscellaneous expense 26 .13 <br /> TOTAL 72,466 .75 <br /> Section ?: That there is hereby appropriated out <br /> of the Interest and Debt Redemption Fund of the Everett <br /> ater System the sum of $2466 .75 for the purpose of paying <br /> the items set forth, which sums shall be paid by the issuance <br /> of emergency warrants drawn on the Interest and Debt Redemption <br /> Fund of the Everett `, ater System by the proper officers of the <br /> City of Everett as provided by law. <br /> Section 3 : That an emergency is declared to exist and <br /> this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication. <br /> Mayor . <br /> Attest : <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed : December 26 th, 1939 . <br /> Published: December 28 th, 1939 . <br />
