the office of the City Treasurer or at the office of the fiscal agency of the State of Washington in New York City, at the holder' s option, the sum of in lawful money of the United States, from the special fund of said city known as "Everett, 1940, Special Water Revenue Refunding Bond Fund", said sum being the semi-annual interest due that day on its water revenue bond dated January 1, 1940, numbered CITY OF EVERETT, WASHINGTON By Mayor Attest: City Clerk Section 3. Said bonds shall be registered as to principal only at the option of the holder and shall contain substantially the following provision on the back thereof: '"This bond may be registered as to principal in the name of the owner, notation of such registration to be made hereon by the bond registrar, and this bond may thereafter be transferred on said Bond Register only upon a written assignment of the regis- tered owner or his attorney, duly acknowledged or proved, such transfer to be endorsed thereon by the Bond Registrar. Notwithstanding the registration of this bond as to principal, the coupons shall remain payable to bearer and shall continue to be transfer- able by delivery.
