lYg'V i r • ORDINANCE No. 2825 AN ORDINANCE regulating and restricting the location of trades and industries and regulating and limiting the use of buildings and establishing a district for the said purposes; providing penalties for the violation hereof and declaring an emergency. THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: section 1: For the purpose of regulating and restricting the location of trades and industries and for the purpose of creating what shall be hereafter known as "First Residential District Zone A" , and for the purpose of restricting the buildings in said First Residential District, Zone A. to building , constructing, using and maintaining homes and apartment houses and their necessarily appurtenant buildings the boundaries of said "First Residential District, Zone A" shall be as follows: Beginning at the South margin of 12th Street and center line of Lombard avenue ; thence orth along center line of Lombard Avenue produced 723.20 feet; thence East to center line of Broadway extended South; thence North along center line of Broadway to center line of 10th Street; thence East to East line of Bailey's Addition; thence North along East line of Bailey' s Addition and Swalwell' s 4th Addition to Everett, Snohomish County, Washington, and continuing North to the North- west corner, of the Southeast ;;uarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 8, `-'ownship 29 North, Range Five East 1 . IT. ; thence East along North line of said Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 8 to the center section line of Section 8, same being City of Everett boundary line ; thence North along said City boundary line to the Great lorthern Railway Company' s right of way; thence Northwesterly thence Southwesterly thence Southerly along Great Northern Railway Company' s right of way to intersection with the South line of 12th Street produced Vest; thence East along South line of 12th Street produced East to point of beginning. Section 2 : The following uses only are permitted in said First Residential District, Zone A: (a) Single family homes. (b) Duplex apartments or other apartments wherein the tenants or residents therein are permanent tenants or per- manent residents, but expressly excluding all transient homes, apartment hotels, hotels, nursing homes, sanitariums, hospitals, clinics, orphanages, old peoples homes, indigent homes, social and/or charitable institutions , clubs and/or all like buildings, tenancies, occupancies or usages.
