• <br /> ORDINANCE No. <br /> . <br /> 2820 . <br /> AN ORDINTANCE vacating the following described portion <br /> of an alley in the City of Everett , to-wit : <br /> That portion of the East and West alley in Block Seven <br /> Hundred Forty-three ( 743) , Everett Land Company' s <br /> First Addition to Everett, Snohomish County, Washington, <br /> lying East of a line drawn in a Northwesterly- South- <br /> easterly direction between the Southwest corner of Lot <br /> Twenty-six (26) and the Northwest corner of Lot Twenty <br /> ( 20) in said Block, <br /> and declaring an emergency. <br /> WHEREAS, the owners of more than two-thirds of the <br /> private property abutting upon that portion of the East and <br /> West alley in Block Seven Hundred .2orty-three (743) , Everett <br /> Land Company' s first Addition to Everett , hereinafter des- <br /> cribed, have duly filed their petition with the City Council <br /> of the City of Everett praying for the vacation of a portion <br /> of said alley; and <br /> Th EREAS, said City Council of the City of Everett <br /> did, by resolution duly adopted, fix the 15th day of June, <br /> 1939, at 10:00 o'clock A . M. , of said day, for the hearing and <br /> determination of said petition; and <br /> WHEREAS, due and legal notice of the time and place <br /> of said hearing and determination of said petition has been <br /> given by the City Clerk in the manner required by law; and <br /> d; .EEAS, it appearing to the City Council that said <br /> petition should be granted, and said city Council does hereby <br /> determine to vacate said portion of said alley . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, TIE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That the following portion of the East <br /> and West alley in Block Seven hundred Forty-three ( 743) , Everett <br /> Land Company' s first Addition to Everett, to-wit: <br /> That portion of the East and West alley in Block Seven <br /> Hundred Forty-three ( 743) , Everett Land Company' s First <br /> Addition+to Everett, Snohomish County, Washington, <br /> lyin East of a line drawn in a Wforthwesterly-Southeasterly <br /> direction between the Southwest corner of Lot Twenty-six <br /> ( 26) and the rvorthwest corner of .Lot Twenty (20) in said <br /> Block, <br /> be, and the same is hereby vacated , and the title to the land <br /> in said portion of said alley, above described, is hereby <br /> declared to vest in the abutting property owners as provided <br /> by law. <br /> Section 2: An emergency is declared to exist and this <br /> ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication. <br /> Attest: <br /> Mayor <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed: June 27, 1939 . <br /> Published: June 2g, 1939 <br />
