t <br /> • <br /> ORDINANCE No. <br /> 2814. . . <br /> T OP_DINJNCE amending Ordinance No. 2734 of the City <br /> of Everett , entitled as follows: <br /> "An Ordinance relating to vehicles and the operation <br /> thereof upon the Public streets and other public <br /> places of the City of Everett ; providing for vehicle <br /> equipment ; limiting and restricting certain sections <br /> of the public streets and other public places of the <br /> City of Everett ; prescribing rules of the road for <br /> vehicles operating on public streets or other public <br /> places of the City of Everett ; defining offenses end <br /> fixing penalties; repealing certain ordinances and <br /> parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions <br /> of this ordinance ; saving certain acts performed and <br /> declaring an emergency, " <br /> by adding thereto sections to be known as Section 27i and <br /> Sections 41, 42, 43, 44, 45 and 46, and declaring an emergency; <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1 : That Ordinance No. 2734 of the City of <br /> Everett , entitled as above set forth, be, and the same is hereby <br /> amended by adding thereto a section to be known as Section 271i <br /> which section shall read as follows: <br /> Section 27 : It shall be unlawful for any person <br /> to operate a motor vehicle in a negligent manner over and along <br /> the public highways, streets and alleys of this city. <br /> For the purpose of this section "to operate in a <br /> negligent manner" shall be construed to mean the operation of <br /> a vehicle upon the public highways, streets or alleys of this <br /> city in such a manner as to endanger or to be likely to en- <br /> danger any person or property. <br /> The offense of operating a vehicle in a negligent <br /> manner shall be considered to be a lesser offense than, but <br /> included in, the offense of operating a vehicle in a reckless <br /> manner , and any person charged with operating a vehicle in <br /> a reckless manner may be convicted of the lesser offense of <br /> operating a vehicle in a negligent manner. <br /> Section 2: That Ordinance No. 2734 of the City of <br /> Everett, entitled as above set forth, be , and the same is hereby <br /> amended by adding thereto a section to be known as Section 41, <br /> which section shall read as follows: <br />
