r ORDINANCE No. 2805. AN ORDINANCE amending Sections 16 and 36 of Ordinance No. 2794 of the City of Everett , entitled as follows: "MT ORDINANCE fixing and determining the number of the various officers, assistants, deputies end employees of the City of Everett; prescribing the duties of such officers , assistants , deputies and employees; fixing their salaries and repealing Ordinance No. 2752 , as amended by Ordinances No. 2761 and No. 2767 , of the City of Everett, and providing that this ordinance shall take effect on January 1, 1939 ; and declaring an emergency. THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Section 16 of Ordinance No. 2794 of the City of Everett be , and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 16: STREET DEPAR'MIEMT. There shall be the following named officers, assistants and employees in the Street Department : One ( 1) Street Superintendent; One (1) purchasing agent (part time) ; One (1) Clerk; One (1) Transitman; One (1) Painter; Three (3) foremen; One ( 1) Mechanic ; One (1) crusherman; Two (2) Gradermen; Seven ( 7 ) truck drivers; One (1) Donkey man; Three (3) Truck driver helpers; One (1) yard man; Cne (1) Night watchman; Laborers ( 2913.9 days) . Said officers , assistants and employees shall perform the duties pertaining to such office as indicated by the name ooftneir respective employments, and such other duties as the Superintendent of Streets or Commissioner of Public Works shall, from tine to tine, authorize and determine The day laborers provided for herein shall not be considered permanent employees, but may be employed full time or part time depending upon the work to be performed. Section 2 : That Section 36 of Ordinance No. 2794 be , and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 36. STREET DEPARTTENT. Street Superintendent ,175.00 per no.
