Drilled Piers: Inspections and testing of drilling and placing concrete and as specified by <br /> Section 31 63 29 and as required by IBC Section 17 04.9. <br /> 1.10 SCHEDULE OF STRUCTURAL TESTS AND SPECIAL INSPECTIONS <br /> A. Structural tests and special investigations, including special inspections and testing for <br /> seismic resistance required by IBC Chapter 17, and as specified by individual <br /> specification Sections, will be performed by Special Inspector. Structural Observations: As specified by Division 04 Sections and as required for <br /> inspection of steel elements of building and structure erections as defined by IBC Section <br /> 17 04.3 and Table 1704.3. <br /> 1.12 CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION TESTS AND INSPECTIONS <br /> A. Concrete, General: As specified by Division 03, Division 31, and Division 32 Sections <br /> and as required by IBC Section 17 04.4 and Table 1704.4. <br /> B. Reinforcing Steel: <br /> 1. Prior to placing of reinforcing steel, verify that reinforcing complies with <br /> requirements of Structural Notes and Drawings. <br /> 2. Verify grade, size, and placement of reinforcing steel, fabric, and embedded items <br /> prior to closing off by formwork and concrete or grout placement. <br /> 3. Check condition of reinforcing and embedded items for bond integrity with <br /> concrete. <br /> C. Concrete Delivery and Placement: <br /> 1. Check and keep record of batch tickets for compliance with required mix design. <br /> 2. Remain on project site during placement of structural reinforced concrete. <br /> 3. Prior to placement of concrete, Inspect: <br /> a. Accuracy, configuration, and cleanliness of formwork. <br /> b. Cleanliness, quantity, and placement of reinforcing steel. <br /> D. Aggregates for Normal Weight Concrete: Sample and perform Gradation Test to ASTM <br /> C33 on first day and every other day thereafter during course of construction. <br /> E.
