City of Everett 02 41 00 - 1 <br /> Inductive Charging Infrastructure for Everett Transit <br /> SECTION 02 41 00 - DEMOLITION <br /> PART 1 -GENERAL <br /> 1.1 DESCRIPTION <br /> A. Section includes removing and disposing of materials as indicated on the plans or <br /> directed by the Engineer. The work also includes the backfilling of trenches, holes or <br /> pits that result from such removals. <br /> 1.2 STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS <br /> A. All work to be performed and materials to be used shall be in accordance with the latest <br /> version of the Standard Specifications and Standard Plans for Road, Bridge and <br /> Municipal Construction, as published by the Washington State Department of <br /> Transportation (WSDOT), unless otherwise indicated herein. <br /> B. The Contractor shall have one copy of the Standard Specifications and Standard Plans <br /> at the job site. <br /> C. The Standard Specifications apply only to performance and materials and how they are <br /> to be incorporated into the work. The legal/contractual relationship sections and the <br /> measurement and payment sections do not apply to this document. <br /> PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> Not applicable. <br /> PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. With certain exceptions, the Contractor shall raze, remove and dispose of all pavement <br /> structures and other surface features or other obstructions that lie wholly or partially <br /> within the clearing limits. The exceptions are utility-owned equipment, items indicated to <br /> remain on the plans, and any other items the Owner may direct the Contractor to leave <br /> intact. The Contractor shall: <br /> 1. Remove any pavement and obstructions completely. <br /> 2. Make a vertical saw cut between any existing improvements to remain and the portion <br /> to be removed. <br /> 3. Replace at no expense to the Owner any existing improvements to remain that are <br /> damaged during the removal of other improvements. <br /> B. When salvageable material is to remain the Owner's property, the materials identified <br /> shall be removed as described herein. <br /> C. Any material not named as the Owner's property will belong to the Contractor. The <br /> Contractor shall store or dispose of such material off-site in a safe and legal manner at <br /> no expense to the Owner. <br /> 02 41 00 - 1 DEMOLITION <br />
