Factory Test Reports: For handholes and boxes. <br /> 2. Manufacturer's field reports for field quality-control support. <br /> 1.4 REGULATORY AGENCY APPROVALS <br /> A. Shop Drawing submittals for electric utility duct banks and structures must be signed <br /> and sealed by qualified electrical professional engineer responsible for their <br /> preparation. <br /> B. Submit Shop Drawings for electric utility duct banks and structures for action by <br /> Architect prior to submitting for approval by electric utility. <br /> PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> A. Underground Conduit (PVC-80 and PVC-40): <br /> 1. Dimensional Specifications: PVC Schedule 80 and PVC Schedule 40. <br /> 2. Options: <br /> a. Minimum Trade Size: 3/4. <br /> B. PVC-Coated-Steel Electrical Rigid Metal Conduit (PVC-GRS), Elbows, Couplings, and <br /> Nipples: <br /> 1. Additional Characteristics: <br /> 2. Fittings for PVC-Coated Conduit: <br /> a. Minimum coating thickness of 0.040 inches, with overlapping sleeves <br /> protecting threaded joints. <br /> b. Conduit bodies must be Form 8 with effective seal and positive placement <br /> feature to ease and assure proper installation. Certified results confirming <br /> seal performance at 15 psig (positive) and 25-inch Hg (vacuum) for 72 <br /> hours must be available. Conduit bodies must be supplied with plastic- <br /> encapsulated stainless steel cover screws. <br /> c. Form 2 inch long or one pipe diameter long, whichever is less, PVC sleeve <br /> at openings of female fittings, except unions. Inside sleeve diameter must <br /> be matched to outside diameter of metal conduit. <br /> d. PVC coating on outside of conduit couplings must be protected from tool <br /> damage during installation. <br /> 26 05 43 -2 UNDERGROUND DUCTS AND RACEWAYS FOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS <br />
