City of Everett 31 11 00 - 1 <br /> Inductive Charging Infrastructure for Everett Transit <br /> SECTION 31 11 00 - CLEARING AND GRUBBING <br /> PART 1 -GENERAL <br /> 1.1 DESCRIPTION <br /> A. The work includes clearing and grubbing areas within the boundary limits shown on the <br /> plans or staked by the Engineer. This work also includes protecting from harm all trees, <br /> bushes, shrubs or other objects selected to remain. <br /> 1. "Clearing" means removing and disposing of all unwanted material from the surface <br /> such as trees, brush, down timber or other natural materials. <br /> 2. "Grubbing" means removing and disposing of all unwanted vegetative matter from <br /> underground such as sod, stumps, roots, buried logs or other debris. <br /> 3. "Debris" means all nonusable natural material produced by clearing and grubbing. <br /> 1.2 STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS <br /> A. All work to be performed and materials to be used shall be in accordance with the latest <br /> version of the Standard Specifications and Standard Plans for Road, Bridge and <br /> Municipal Construction, as published by the Washington State Department of <br /> Transportation (WSDOT), unless otherwise indicated herein. <br /> B. The Contractor shall have one copy of the Standard Specifications and Standard Plans <br /> at the job site. <br /> C. The Standard Specifications apply only to performance and materials and how they <br /> are to be incorporated into the work. The legal/contractual relationship sections and the <br /> measurement and payment sections do not apply to this document. <br /> 1.3 FIELD CONDITIONS <br /> A. Traffic: Minimize interference with adjoining roads, streets, walks, and other adjacent <br /> occupied or used facilities during site-clearing operations. <br /> 1.Do not close or obstruct streets, walks, or other adjacent occupied or used facilities <br /> without permission from Owner and authorities having jurisdiction. <br /> 2.Provide alternate routes around closed or obstructed traffic routes if required by Owner <br /> or authorities having jurisdiction. <br /> B. Salvageable Improvements: Carefully remove items indicated to be salvaged and store <br /> on Owner's premises. <br /> C. Utility Locator Service: Notify utility locator service for area where Project is located <br /> before site clearing. <br /> D. Do not commence site clearing operations until temporary erosion- and sedimentation- <br /> control measures are in place. <br /> PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> 31 11 00 - 1 CLEARING AND GRUBBING <br />
