<br /> 2787 .
<br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of 26th
<br /> Street from Grand Avenue to Broadway Avenue by grading to
<br /> proper grade, construction of Portland Cement Concrete Pavement,
<br /> construction of concrete burbs, repair walks as necessary,
<br /> installation of drainage and all work to make a complete improve-
<br /> ment, all in accordance with Resolution No. 4434 of the City of
<br /> Everett, creating an assessment district; creating a local
<br /> improvement district fund therefor; providing that the cost of
<br /> the improvement not to exceed 55% plus fixed estimate be paid
<br /> by special assessment upon the property in said district under
<br /> the mode of payment by bonds and the balance thereof shall be
<br /> paid and funds allocated to the City of Everett by federal
<br /> grant of the United States Government under PJA.
<br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN:
<br /> Section 1 : That 26th Street from Grand Avenue to
<br /> Broadway Avenue be improved by grading to proper grade, con-
<br /> struction of Portland Cement Concrete Pavement, construction of
<br /> concrete curbs, repair walks as necessary, installation of
<br /> drainage and all work to make a complete improvement, all in
<br /> accordance with plans and specifications prepared under the
<br /> direction of the City Engineer, which plans and specifications
<br /> are hereby adopted and approved.
<br /> Section 2: A sum not to exceed Fifty-five percent
<br /> ( 55%) of the cost and expense of such improvement, plus fixed
<br /> estimate, shall be borne by and assessed against the property
<br /> included in the assessment district herein created in accordance
<br /> with law and the balance of the cost thereof shall be paid by
<br /> funds allocated to the City of Everett by federal grant from
<br /> the United States Government under PWA. The City of Everett
<br /> shall not be liable for any portion of the cost and expense of
<br /> said improvement except as provided in Chapter 141, Session
<br /> Laws of 1923, or acts amendatory thereto, and the ordinances of
<br /> the City of Everett .
<br /> Section 3: There is hereby established a local
<br /> improvement district to be called Local Improvement District
<br /> No. .T/ , which district shall include the following
<br /> property:
<br /> Lots 9 to 24, inc. , Block 599 , Plat of Everett.
<br /> Lots 9 to 24, inc. , Bloch 560 , Rucker' s 1st Addition
<br /> to Everett.
<br /> Lots 9 to 24, inc . , Block 561, Rucker' s 1st addition
<br /> to Everett.
<br /> Lots 9 to 24, inc. , Block 562, Rucker' s 1st Addition
<br /> to Everett.
<br /> Lots 9 to 24, inc. , Block 563, Rucker' s 1st Addition
<br /> to Everett .
<br /> Lots 9 to 24, inc. , Block 564, Plat of Everett.
