ORDINANCE No. 2778. AST ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of Norton Avenue Extension from a line at right angles to Norton Avenue and a distance of Light Hundred Seventy-nine (879 ) feet, more or less , South of 14th Street monument line and a line Three (3) feet south of 14th Street monument line, by the construction of a pile and timber trestle including piling as necessary for future use in bulkhead construction, and doing all worknecessary to make a complete improvement , all in accordance with Resolution No. 4410 of the City of Everett; creating an enlarged assessment district which shall be divided into a direct benefit district and an indirect benefit district; creating a local improvement district fund therefor; providing that the said improvement be made by special assessment on the property in said district. WEEREAS, by Resolution No. 4410 of the City of Everett the Council has declared its intention to order the improvement as above outlined , and doing all other work in connection there- with to make a complete improvement in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer. NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Everett DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Norton Avenue Extension from a line at right angles to Norton Avenue and a distance of Eight Hundred Seventy-nine (879) feet, more or less, South of 14th Street monument line and a line three (3) feet South of 14th Street monument line by the construction of a pile and timber trestle including extra piling as necessary for future use in bulkhead construction, and doing all work necessary to make a complete improvement , ell in accordance with plans and specifica- tions Prepared under the direction of the City Engineer, which plans and specifications are hereby approved and adopted. Section 2: That the cost and expense of such improvement , including all the necessary and incidental expenses , shall be borne by and assessed against the property included in the enlarged district , which shall be divided into a direct benefit district and en indirect benefit district herein created in accordance with law. The City of Everett shall not be liable in any manner for any portion of the cost and expense of such improvement, exceat as provided in Chapter 141 Session Laws of Washington of 1923, and acts amendatory thereto, and the ordinances of said City. Section 3: There is hereby established an enlarged local improvement district to be called "Local Improvement Dis- trict No. _, " which said enlarged district shall be divided into a d'irect benefit district and an indirect benefit district.
