i. Sheet C1.0
ii. Sheet C2.0
iii. Sheet C3.0
iv. Sheet C4.0
v. Sheet C4.1 (11x17 from Traffic Reviewer)
vi. Sheet C5.0
3. The comments below were generated from this project's Street Light Reviewer. If you have any questions
regarding these comments, please contact Corey Hert with the City of Everett Planning Department(425-
257-8887 or CHert@everettwa.gov).
a. Installation of the sidewalk along the project's street frontage will require adjustments to and
installation of conduits, junction boxes and wiring for the City's street lighting and flashing
‘13 C beacon systems. All sidewalks must have an accessible ADA compliant pedestrian path that
provides a minimum of 4'width free of obstructions(street light poles, signs, etc).
b. The lighting system shall be upgraded to meet current City Standards and Electrical Code
regarding depth of conduit burial, junction box cover non-slip surface treatment, conduit size,
conduit type and number, conductor size and number, grounding and bonding, pole type, pole
location, etc. Record drawings for the flashing beacon system and illumination system are
f available upon request. The proponent will need to field as-built the existing systems and show
kt) it in the plans, including any modifications. A spare 2" conduit shall be installed along the
frontage and be terminated in new junction boxes at either end of the frontage for future use.
We anticipate the wiring to be in conduit, but any direct bury conductors shall be replaced with
#6 USE conductors in 2" conduit. Any junction boxes without non-slip lids or frames will need to
be upgraded to new boxes with non-slip lid and load bearing base section. Light poles within 2'-
6" of the face of curb need to be relocated with new foundation (3'-6" CL of pole to face of curb
desired). The City's typical installation involves LED cobra head fixtures on steel or aluminum
poles, 30-35 feet mounting height, with an appropriate length mast arm matching same type or
style.Within the Central Business District, pedestrian level decorative poles and LED fixtures are
required. Given the length of frontage, three decorative light standards are required. Revised
lighting system details shall be provided on the plans.
c. For the overhead beacons and pole, the crosswalk is closed and the contractor on-site has
requested to remove mast arm as an overhead obstruction. Disconnect the existing system and
G • remove both the pole and vertical shaft from the foundation and protect the anchor bolts. The
pole and shaft can be stored at the secured City of Everett Railway Ave storage facility until it is
` ready to reinstall. The existing light standard should also be removed and delivered to the
Railway Ave yard, the City will provide a new or near-new pole to place on the foundation when
the work is complete. The City will take possession of the LED fixture and will store it until the
pole is reinstalled. The proponent is responsible for any wiring or splicing to reconnect the
beacon system and light standard to make it fully functional. If the grade of the foundations
need to change, or the excavation undermines the foundations, they shall be replaced in their
entirety.
d. Existing round steel sign posts shall be converted to square perforated posts with concrete
- foundations meeting City Standards.Signs shall be relocated, or replaced sized to MUTCD
requirements. Consult with the City Traffic Engineering Department for detailed requirements.
0 3200 Cedar Street © 425.257.8810 O everetteps@everettwa.gov
Everett, WA 98201 425.257.8857 fax everettwa.gov/permits
Fage2of 3
