I have attached your original <br /> comments as reference. My responses are numbered to respond to your comments accordingly. For example,#1 below is <br /> an answer to your comment#1. <br /> 1. The drawings have been prepared in accordance with R106.1.1 using established drafting standards. <br /> 2. All levels of the house are included in the drawings and show walls,doors,egress routes,egress windows,smoke <br /> and CO alarms and use of each room. <br /> 3. Demolition plans have been provided to show existing, proposed for demolition and proposed new construction. <br /> 4. The existing guard and handrail are to remain at the stair. No change is proposed. <br /> 5. The existing guardrail is proposed to remain at the existing stair.Solid wood framing has been designed for the <br /> new guardrail at the exterior deck in order to comply with IRC section R312.1 and R301.5. <br /> 6. Emergency egress openings have been identified in the bedrooms and their requirements(min.dimensions,area, <br /> sill height,etc.) are listed on the plans. <br /> 7. Smoke and CO alarms are shown on the plans and their required power,connectivity and wiring has been noted. <br /> 8. Insulation has been called out for the walls and ceiling.Careful consideration has been given to the WSEC and <br /> drawings have been labeled to show the thermal envelope requirements. <br /> 9. The required thermal rating for the fenestration is listed on the plans. <br /> 10. A structural engineer visited the house and site to review this project. His drawings and calculations are being <br /> submitted to show engineering required for the new exterior wood deck.Our proposed interior work did not <br /> required additional structural engineering. <br /> 11.
