June 14, 2023 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., June 14, 2023, <br />President Stonecipher presiding. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Fosse, Rhyne, Schwab, <br />Vogeli, Zarlingo, and Stonecipher were present. Council Member Tuohy was excused. <br /> <br />Council Member Schwab led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />On behalf of the City Council, Council Member Rhyne acknowledged the original inhabitants of <br />this place, the sduhubš people, and their successors, the Tulalip Tribes. <br /> <br />The minutes of the June 7, 2023, City Council meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR’S COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin welcomed Police Chief Dan Templeman to introduce a new police officer. <br /> <br />OATH – POLICE OFFICER <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Vogeli, seconded by Council Member Zarlingo, to concur with the <br />appointment of Emily Rivers as a new police officer. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council Member Tuohy, who was <br />excused. <br /> <br /> Motion carried <br /> <br />The City Clerk administered the oath of office and Mayor Franklin and Council members <br />congratulated Officer Rivers. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />The following members of the public spoke: <br /> <br />• Jeramy Olson– Bike Lanes and Budget <br />• Aaron Wyeth – Public safety issues <br />• Alexander Salazar – Public safety issues
