7 -7t! . • r ORDINANCE No. 2774 AY ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of California Street from -Atmore Avenue to Norton Ayenue by removal of wood blocks, concrete patches, etc. , constriction of one course Port- land cement concrete pavement, concrete curbs, repairing concrete curbs, repairing sidewalks as found necessary, installation of necessary drainage, etc. , and all work necessary to make a complete improvement, all in accordance with Resolution No. 4377 of the City of Everett; creating an assessment district; creating a local improvement district fund therefor; providing that the cost of the improvement, not to exceed Fifty-five percent ( 55%) , plus the fixed estimate be paid by special assessment upon the property in said district under the mode of payment by bonds, and the balance thereof shall be paid from funds allocated to the City of Everett by the federal grant of the United States Govern- ment under PWA; HEREAS, by resolution No. 4377 of the City of Everett the City Louncil has declared its intention to order the improve- ment as above outlined, and doing all other work in connection therewith to make a complete improvement in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer of the City of Everett. NOW, `IHEREFORE, TxiE CITY OF EVERETT DOES Ok DAIN: Section 1: That California Street from Wetmore Avenue to Norton h.venue be improved by removal of wood blocks, concrete patches, etc. , construction of one course i-ortland cement concrete pavement, concrete curbs, repairing concrete curbs, repairing sidewalks as found necessary, installation of necessary drainage, etc. , and doing all work necessary to make a complete improvement, all according to the plans and specifica- tions prepared under the direction of the city engineer, which plans and specifications are hereby adopted and approved. Section 2: A sum not to exceed Fifty-five percent (55%) of the cost and expense of such improvement, plus fixed estimate shall be borne by and assessed against the property included in the assessment district herein created, in accord- ance with law, and the balance of the cost thereof shall be paid by funds allocated to the City of Everett by the federal grant or the United States Government under PWA. The City of Everett shall not be liable for any portion of the cost and expense of such improvement, except as provided in Chapter 141, Session Laws of 1923, or acts amendatory thereto, and the ordinances of the City of Everett. Section 3: There is hereby established a local improvement district to be called "Local Improvement District No. 524 ;' which district shall include the following property:
