ORDINANCE No. 1-7� 9 AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of Bond Street in the Oity of Everett from the brick pavement at Hewitt Avenue to the brick pavement at Kromer Avenue and a line extend- ing Westerly, by removal of old wood blocks; construction of one course Portland cement concrete pavement; adjusting granite curbs; removing and repairing sidewalks, curbs and gutters as necessary; installation of necessary drainage , and doing all other work necessary in connection therewith to make a complete improvement , all in accordance with Resolution No. 4324 of the City of Everett; creating an assessment district; creating a local improvement district fund tlerefor; providing that said improvement be made by special assessment to the amount of Sixty percent (60%) of said improvement , plus Treasurer' s fee and L. I. D. advertisement , upon the property in said district under the mode of payment by bonds, and the balance by funds allocated from the Washington State Motor Vehicle Fund , and repealing Ordinance No. 2736 of the City of Everett. WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 4324 of the City of Everett the City Council has declared its intention to order the improvement as above outlined, and doing all other work necessary in connection therewith to make a complete improvement, all in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer. NOW, THEREFORE, the CITY OF EVr ?ETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That :Bond Street from the brick pavement at Hewitt Avenue to the-brick pavement at Kromer Avenue and a line extending Westerly, be improved by removal of old wood blocks; construction of one course Portland cement concrete pavement; adjusting granite curbs; removing and repairing sidewalks, curbs and gutters as necessary; installation of necessary drainage, and doing all other work necessary in connection therewith to make a complete improve- ment, all in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer, which plans and specifications are hereby adopted and approved. Section 2: That the cost and expense of such improvement, including all necessary and incidental expense, to the amount of Sixty percent (60 ') thereof, plus measurer's fee and L. 1. D. advertisement , shall be borne by and assessed against the property included in the assessment district herein created , in accordance with law. The remaining amount not charged to the district snail be paid for out of funds allocated from the Washington State Motor Vehicle Fund to the City of Everett. The City of iverett shall not be liable in any manner for the cost and expense of such improve- ment except as provided in Chapter 141 Session Laws of Washington of 1923 and Ordinance No. 2126 of the City of Everett, and amendatory acts and. ordinances thereto.
