) r , <br /> ORDINANCE No. 2756 <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for an emergency expenditure <br /> to cover the cost of moving Fire Station No. 3 in the City of <br /> Everett for the purpose of making a clear and free right-of-way <br /> for the construction of the trestle along the Norton Avenue <br /> Extension; providing for the issuance of emergency warrants <br /> therefor , and declaring an emergency. <br /> TIE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That a public emergency exists and the <br /> amount of expenditure therefor could not have been reasonably <br /> for eseen at the time of making the budget for the year 1937 , <br /> to-wit: In October 1936; that said emergency has been caused <br /> by reason of the fact that it was necessary to move Fire Station <br /> No. 3 back towards the Great Northern Railway Company's right-of- <br /> way in order to provide room for the construction of the trestle <br /> along the Norton Avenue Extension. The amount of money re- <br /> quired to meet said emergency is 396.29 to pay for such moving <br /> and reconstruction as was necessary, and said amount is hereby <br /> appropriated to cover such expenditure. <br /> Section 2: That there is hereby appropriated out <br /> of the General Current Expense Fund of Everett , not otherwise <br /> budgeted , for the purpose of paying for the moving and re- <br /> construction of Fire Station No. 3 said sum of 396,29„ which <br /> sum shall be paid by the issuance of emergency warrants drawn <br /> in such General Current Expense Fund by the proper officers of <br /> the City of Everett as provided b; law. <br /> Section 3: An emergency is declared to ecist and <br /> this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publica- <br /> tion. <br /> Mayor <br /> Attest : <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed:December 21st, 1937 <br /> cV ! •,° <br /> Published:December 28th, 1937 . erg . <br /> � 3y �. 2 / <br />
