• r <br /> 3 <br /> t ��► R <br /> ORDINANCE No. 2749 <br /> AN ORDINA10E providing for an emergency expenditure <br /> to cover the cost of equipment in the Office of the City <br /> Treasurer of the City of Everett , and to cover the cost of <br /> supplies in the City Clerk 'z Office of the City of Everett in <br /> connection with codifying a d indexing of ordinances of the <br /> City of Everett in connection with WPA; providing for <br /> issuance of emergency warrants, and declaring an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF EVE ETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That a public emergency exists and <br /> the amount of expenditure therefor could not have been <br /> reasonably foreseen at the time of making the budget for the <br /> year 1937 , to wit : In October 1936. That said emergency has <br /> been caused by reason of the fact that it is necessary to <br /> purchase certain equipment for the Office of the City Treasurer <br /> of the City of Everett, and it was necessary to purchase <br /> certain supplies for the purpose of codifying and indexing <br /> the ordinances of the City of Everett in connection with WFA. <br /> The amount of money required to meet such emergency for the <br /> purchase of equipment in the office of the City Treasurer of <br /> the City of Everett is the sum of Eighty Dollars W8O.0O) , <br /> and the amount of money required to meet the emergency <br /> expenditure for supplies in connection with codifying <br /> and indexing of the ordinance of the City of Everett is <br /> Four Hundred Twenty :Dollars W420.00) , and said amounts are <br /> hereby appropriated to cover such expenditures. <br /> Section 2: That there is hereby appropriated <br /> said. sum, out of the General Current Expense Fund, not otnerr <br /> wise :edge ted for the purpose of paying for said equipment <br /> in the Office of the City Treasurer of the City of Everett, <br /> and purchasing supplies in the City Clerk ' s Office of the <br /> City of Everett in connection with codifying and indexing <br /> of ordinances of said City, which sums shall be paid by <br /> the issuance of emergency warrants drawn on such General <br /> Current :';xpense Fund by the proper officers of the City of <br /> Everett as provided by law. <br /> Section 3: An emergency is declared to exist <br /> and this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and <br /> publication. <br /> Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> city Clerk <br /> assed:Oct. 21 , 1937 <br /> Publ ished: Oct . 26, 1937 . <br />
