N / ORD MANGE No. 2 748 All ORDINANCE levying the general taxes for the City of Everett for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 1938, on all taxable property, both real and personalin slid City, subject to taxation thereon, for the purpose of raising sufficient revenue to carry on the different departments of said City for the ensuing year, as required by the Charter of said City and the laws of the State of Washington; pre- scribing and apportioning the same into different funds of said City for said fiscal year; providing for the collection thereof. WHEREAS, on the 7th day of uctober, 1937 , the City Council of the City of Everett duly and regularly adopted the estimate of the amounts required to meet the public expenses of said City for the ensuing year, and the amount to be raised by taxation in said City for said ensuing year, from sources other than directs taxation; and WHEREAS, notice that said City Council tentatively completed the budget for the pity of Everett for the year 1938, and that a copy of said budget would be furnished any taxpayer of the City of Everett on application therefor, and that the City Council of said city would meet in the Council Room of the City Hall at 10 :00 o 'clock A. iu'I. , on the 4th day of October, 1937 , for the purpose of fixing the final budget and designating the tax levies, and that any taxpayer might appear thereat and be heard for or against any part of said budget , was published in the official news- paper in all respects as required by law; and WHEREAS, the City Council did on the 4th day of October, 1937 , meet in the Council Chamber for said purpose , and did from day to day continue the hearing on said budget to October 7, 1937 , for the :purpose aforesaid, and having heard all persons appearing in favor of or against said proposed tax levy, did then and there make and decide the amount of taxes to be placed upon the current assessment roll to be in the sum of :, 331 ,032.51. NOW, `h 1REFORE, the City ofverett does ordain: Section 1: That there be , and hereby is levied upon the real and personal property in the City of Everett , subject to taxation therein, a general property tax for municipal purposes for the ensuing year, commencing January 1, 1938, in the sum of ` 331,032. 51. Section 2: That said taxes shall be apportioned to the various funds of said City for the year as follows: General Current Expense Fund .4186 ,904. 67 Library Fund 10 , 323. 99 Park Fund 14,659.19 Park Bond Sinking Fund 8,000.00 Park Bond Interest Fund 2, 932.60
