. • <br /> . • <br /> ORDINANCE No. 2745. <br /> AN ORDINANCE submitting to the legal voters of the <br /> City of Everett a proposed amendment to the Carter of the City <br /> of Everett with relation to the maximum tax levy for Parks <br /> and Park System, at a special election to be held in the City <br /> of Everett on the 4th day of December, 1937. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That proposed amendment to Section 55 <br /> of the Charter of the City of Everett with relation to the <br /> maximum levy for Parks and Park System be submitted to the legal <br /> voters of the City ofEverett , at a special municipal election <br /> to be held in said City on December 4 , 1937. <br /> Section 2: That Section 55 of the Charter of the <br /> City of Everett be amended so as to read as follows: <br /> Section 55: Annual Levy for Support of Parks: in <br /> order to maintain the parks, and perk system and to provide <br /> for the expenses authorized by this article, the council <br /> shall levy each year and cause to be collected a tax of <br /> not more than two mills. <br /> Section 3: That the form of the ballot to be used <br /> in said election shall be as follows: <br /> "PARKS TAX LEVY <br /> An Ordinance amending Section 55 of the Charter <br /> of the City of Everett , and providing that tax levy <br /> for parks, and park system snail not exceed two mills <br /> in each year. <br /> FOR THE ORDINANCE: (~) <br /> AGAINST `i''i ORD I NANTCE: ( ) cr <br /> Section 4: An emergency is declared to exist <br /> and this ordinance sia.11 take effect upon its passage and <br /> publication. <br /> - Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> • <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed: 10-14-37 <br /> Published: 1C-15-37 <br />
