- I <br /> k • <br /> ORDINANCE No. 2740 <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for an emergency expenditure <br /> to cover the cost of repairs, renewals and extension work in <br /> the Police and Fire Signal Department , consisting of repairs, <br /> installing Ten (10) new fire alarm circuits, Four (4) gong <br /> circuits , and other work in connection therewith, said work to <br /> be done with the assistance of WPA; providing for the issuance <br /> of emergency warrants therefor, and declaring an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT -DOS ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That a public emergency exists and the <br /> amount of expenditure therefor could not have been reasonably <br /> foreseen at the time of the making of the budget for the year <br /> 1937, to wit: In October 1936; that said emergency has been <br /> caused by reason of the fact tiart it was necessary to make <br /> certain repairs, renewals and extensions in the Police and Fire <br /> Signal Department of the City of Everett, consisting of repairs, <br /> installing Ten (10) new fire alarm circuits, Four (4). gong <br /> circuits and other work in connection therewith, said work <br /> to be done with the assistance of VIPA. The amount of money re- <br /> quired to meet said emergency is 3208.17 to pay for such . <br /> repairs, renewals and improvements, and said amount is hereby <br /> appropriated to cover such expenditure. <br /> Section 2: That there is hereby appropriated <br /> said sum out of the General Current Expense Fund of Everett, <br /> not otherwise budgeted, for the purpose of paying for said <br /> repairs, renewals and extensions, which said amount shall be <br /> paid by the issuance of emergency warrants drawn on such General <br /> Current Expense Fund by the proper officers of the City of <br /> Everett as provided by law. <br /> Section 3: An emergency is declared to exist and <br /> this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publica- <br /> tion. <br /> Mayor <br /> Attest : <br /> • - <br /> City CI-6-rk <br /> Passed: August 10th , 1937 <br /> Published:August llth, 1937 <br /> • <br />
