. ) 4 ORDINANCE No. 2736 AN ORDINANCE CE providing for the improvement of Bond Street in the City of Everett , from the end of brick pavement at Federal Street to the brick pavement at Kromer Avenue , by removal of old wood blocks, construction of one course Portland cement concrete pavement , adjusting granite curbs, removing and repairing sidewalks , curbs and gutters as necessary, installation of necessary drainage , and doing all other work necessary in connection therewith to make a complete improvement, all in accordance with Resolution 4o.426Q of the City of Everett, creating an assessment district, creating a local improvement district fund therefor, providing that said improvement be made by special assessment not to exceed Thirty percent (30A , plus fixed estimate , of the cost thereof upon the property in said district under the mode of payment by bonds and the balance of funds allocated from the Washington State Motor Vehicle Fund and by Federal grant , to the said city, and -r pea:li.ng Ordinance i0.2652 of the City of Everett. WHEREAS, by Resolution i o.4260 of the City of Everett the City Council has declared its intention to order the improvement as above outlined and doing all other work nec- cessary in connection therewith to make a complete improvement in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer . wow, Therefore, THE CITY OF EVERET'T' DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Bond Street , between the end of the brick pavement at Federal Street and to the brick pavement at Kromer Avenue , be improved by the removal of old wood blocks, adjusting granite curbs, construction of one course Portland cement concrete pavement , removing and repairing sidewalks, curbs and gutters as necessary, installation of necessary drainage and by doing all other work on the entire district necessary in connection therewith to make a complete improve- ment according to the plans and specifications prepared under the direction of the City Engineer, which plans and specifica- tions are hereby adopted and approved. Section 2: That the cost and expense of such improvement, including all necessary incidental expenses, not to exceed Thirty percent (30,' ) , plus fixed estimate, shall be borne by and assessed against the property included in the Assessment District herein created in accordance with law. The remaining amount not charged to the district shall be paid for out of funds allocated from the Washington State Motor Vehicle Fund to the City of Everett and by Federal grant. The City of Everett shall not be liable in any manner for any portion of the costs and expenses of such improvement , except as provided in Chapter 141 , Session l.,aws of Washington, 1923, and Ordinance No. 2126 of the City of Everett.
