Please review and respond to the comments <br /> below. <br /> /1. The proposed project includes the demolition of non-bearing walls. Framing plans for the floor, <br /> ceiling,and roof should be provided to substantiate that the walls are not load-bearing. The plans <br /> should also include a note requiring the contractor to verify the walls are not load bearing prior <br /> to demolition. See IRC Section R301.1. <br /> 2. Drawings should include a ledger detail for the joist located at the new landing for the main <br /> / entrance. IRC R507.9.1.1, R507.9.1.3 <br /> V 3. It is not clear how the PT 3x10 beam at the top of the ramp is supported or connected. R106.1.1 <br /> ,/4. Continuing with the previous comment, plans should specify the connection between the PT 3x10 <br /> edge beam to the posts. A minimum 1% inches of bearing on wood or metal should be provided <br /> per IRC R507.5.1. <br /> ✓ 5. Plans should specify the connection between the post and footings. IRC R507.3 <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building <br /> Division with two new sets of revised construction documents reflecting the corrections requested. <br /> Please include a response letter which indicates how the corrections were resolved. <br /> These initial comments are general in nature and based on preliminary information.Additional <br /> comments will typically be generated once a complete submission is reviewed.
