The aircraft model used in Case 1 scenarios is representative of the 777-300ER <br /> (see Figure 7). The aircraft model used in the CFD Case 2 and Case 3 scenarios is representative <br /> of the 777-9X (see Figure 8). Boeing approval of these models was granted in response to RFI <br /> 173 [3]. <br /> The following key assumptions are made regarding the aircraft model: <br /> • The 3D aircraft models, which do not perfectly match the 3-view drawings, are <br /> sufficient for modeling the airflow blockage caused by the aircraft in the hangar. <br /> • The aircraft is placed in position based on drawing (Figure 4) and correlated to <br /> pictures of a 777-300ER during painting operations. <br /> 9) <br />
