EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />A. Project Description: <br />The goal of this project is to Create and install exterior artwork to be sited at Everett Public <br />Library located at 9812 Evergreen Way in, Everett, Washington. <br />B. Requirements: <br />1. The Artist agrees that an essential element of this agreement is the skill and creativity of <br />the Artist. The Artist, therefore, shall not assign the creative or artistic portions of the <br />Work to another party without the consent of the City. <br />2. In the event that the Artist must make changes to the design during construction, the <br />Artist shall present any changes in the scope, design, character, medium, structure or <br />installation of the project to the City for approval. <br />3. The Artist will provide information to the City regarding materials and finishes to be used <br />in the creation of the Work. Substitutions may be requested by the City in the event that <br />the proposed materials do not comply with health and safety issues. <br />4. Upon completion of the Work and prior to final payment the Artist must submit the <br />following to the City: <br />5. Two (2) photographs of work in its final, complete, intended form <br />6. A care information sheet which details the materials used in and the care required for the <br />Work; <br />7. An Artist's statement concerning the Work that the City may use for public information <br />purposes; <br />8. The Artist's professional resume. <br />9. The Artist shall participate in a dedication ceremony. <br />10. The Artist shall acknowledge the City's role in funding the Work in all public <br />presentations and written, printed or electronic publication of information regarding the <br />Work. <br />C. Consultation: <br />1. The Artist will consult as necessary with the City's Project Manager (or design staff <br />and/or sub -consultants) to complete the Scope of Work specified in this Agreement. <br />2. The artist will work with the City's Project Manager to enlist community input and <br />participation. <br />D. Art Work Description: <br />1. COVID-19 theme <br />The intent of the piece should commemorate, archive, document and reflect the Everett <br />community's experience with the COVID-19 pandemic.
