Every such shop shall be maintained in a sanitary <br /> condition, shall be free from flies, rats, mice and vermin and <br /> shall be adequately lighted and ventilated. <br /> All racks, stands , tables , containers, trucks and <br /> other equipment and appliances which come in contact with <br /> edible products, shall be constructed of metal and shall be <br /> kept clean and free from rust; all knives, saws, cleavers and <br /> other instruments and utensils shall be thoroughly cleaned <br /> • after each day' s work. <br /> All meat snail be hung in a refrigerator or cooling <br /> room, not to exceed one-quarter of an animal to a hook, or, <br /> where a high rail is used, not to exceed one side of an animal <br /> to a hook, and the same shall be hung in such manner that no <br /> euarter or side shall come in contact with any other meat. <br /> ° live poultry shall be kept or dressed in any room <br /> in Which meat is prepared, stored, sold or offered for sale , <br /> and no live poultry shall be transported in any vehicle used for <br /> the transportation of meat. All vehicles used for the transporta- <br /> tion of meat shall be maintained in a clean and sanitary <br /> condition, and all meat transported in other than closed vehicles <br /> shall be covered with canvas covers. live stock shall be <br /> transported in any vehicle used for the transportation of meat. <br /> ! o person afflicted with tuberculosis or other <br /> communicable diseases shall be employed in any such market. <br /> SECTION 12: PENALTIES: That any person who shall <br /> violate or fail to comply with any of the provisions of this <br /> ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction <br /> thereof shall be punished by a fine in any sum not exceeding <br /> One Hundred Dollars (` l00.00) or by imprisonment in the amity <br /> Jail for a period not exceeding shirty (30) days, or by both <br /> fine and imprisonment. <br /> Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed: June 15 , 1937 <br /> Published:June 18 , 1937 <br />
