.♦ R J • <br /> • I J <br /> ORDINANCE No. 2727 <br /> An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2688 of the City <br /> of Everett, entitled as follows: <br /> "An Ordinance providing for the licensing and <br /> regulation of machines used for playing games of <br /> skill for commercial purposes, prohibiting minors <br /> from playing thereon, providing penalties for <br /> violation thereof, and declaring an emergency, " <br /> by amending Sections 4, 5 and 10 of said ordinance No. 2688 so <br /> that the amended sections shall read as follows: <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 4 of ordinance No. 2688 <br /> be, and the same hereby is amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 4: Each license shall be issued for <br /> a period of one month. .ihe license fee for each <br /> machine or device shall be Seven .and 50/100 Dollars <br /> 07.50) per month, payable in advance , and shall be <br /> issued for each particular machine or device licensed. <br /> No license shall be transferred from one machine or <br /> device to another, and no machine or device which <br /> is licensed shall be transferred from one location <br /> to another. <br /> Section 2: That Section 5 of said Ordinance ivo. <br /> 2688 be , and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 5: It shall be unlawful for arty <br /> person, firm, or corporation, or the owner or owners <br /> of any such machine or device , or the ov er, tenant , <br /> or occupant of any building or room in which any such <br /> machine or device is kept , permitted, or allowed, to <br /> permit or allow any such game, machine , or device , as <br /> herein defined, then in its, his or her possession <br /> or under its, his or her control, to be played or <br /> operated by any minor, or to purchase or redeem in <br /> cash any won merchandise awards, or to purchase or <br /> redeem in cash any won right other than to further <br /> operate or play said machine or device. <br /> Section 3: That Section 10 of said Ordinance <br /> No. 2688 be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 10 : All licenses issued hereunder shall <br /> expire on the last day of each month. <br /> Section 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances <br /> in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 5: An emergency is declared to exist and <br /> this ordinance shall take effect on July 1, 1937. <br /> Attest: Mayor <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed: June 15, 1937 <br /> Published: June 17 , 1937 <br />
