Of the $20,695,570 of awarded <br />funds, to date $15,753,224 has been authorized by Council for spending. This leaves a <br />balance of $4,942,346 for future appropriations. Staff are requesting the use of up to <br />$2,000,000 of the City’s funds from the Covid Recovery Fund for the specific projects <br />and initiatives listed in the resolution. <br />Project summary statement: <br />Staff will provide brief updates on previously approved projects and initiatives. Staff will <br />request the adoption of a resolution to proceed with the use of up to $2,000,000 of the <br />City’s funds from the Covid Recovery Fund for projects and initiatives listed. A briefing is <br />scheduled for city council on 7/26/2023 and a request to adopt the resolution is planned <br />for the 8/2/2023 council meeting. Staff will return to city council for budget <br />amendments, ordinances or resolutions required to implement the projects designated. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Adopt a Resolution concurring with staff recommendation and authorizing the Mayor to <br />implement the next steps for Covid Recovery Funded projects and initiatives listed in the <br />Resolution, Recital D. <br />
