<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7915 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION waiving public bidding requirements and approving a multiple-year sole- <br />source purchase of pallet shelters from Pallet SPC. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />A. The City chose pallet shelters to address the urgent need for temporary housing for chronically <br />homeless individuals living in Everett and <br /> <br />B. Pallet SPC is the manufacturer of sole provider of their patented shelters, US Patent <br />#10,260,228 B2, and <br /> <br />C. As long as Pallet SPC, Inc. is the only authorized provider of their patented pallet shelters, it is in <br />the City’s best interest to approve the sole source purchase for multiple years rather than on an <br />annual basis. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND EVERETT CITY COUNCIL THAT: <br /> <br />There is clearly and legitimately only one source capable of supplying portable pallet shelters, the City <br />hereby waives competitive bidding requirements and authorizes the purchase of pallet shelters from <br />Pallet SPC Inc. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />_________________________________________ <br />Councilmember introducing resolution <br /> <br /> <br />Passed and approved this 26th day of July, 2023. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />______________________________________ <br />Council President <br />
