If work is complete, request a final inspection to close out the permit.
2. If work is continuing, request the appropriate inspection that fits the current construction needs.
3. If work is currently on hold but work will resume within the next 6 months, request a permit
extension to keep the permit active. The reason for the extension is required to be provided in the
notes field of the permit extension request.
Please request the above inspections and/or permit extension through the Online Permitting Portal at
pw.everettwa.gov. Log in to your account, then find the specific permit number in your dashboard under
either "My Active Permits" at the top or "My Expired Permits" at the bottom. Click the inspection request
link on the selected permit, then request your inspection by selecting an available date, choosing the
appropriate inspection type (permit extension is one of the inspection types), and following the inspection
scheduling instructions.
If no action is taken within 14 days of the date of this letter, the permit record(s) will be closed without
approved final inspection and any work performed will be considered unpermitted work. After the permit
has expired, work under the permit(s) will no longer be authorized unless extension is granted via inspection
or permit extension request. Continuing work after the permit is closed will require a new permit application
and permit fees due to inspect the work not finaled under the original permit.
If you have questions or would like to discuss the status of the permit, contact our Permit Technicians at
PermitServices@everettwa.gov or 425.257.8810, Monday through Friday from Sam to 12pm and 1pm to
3pm.
