I need to keep the reviews
moving for other departments. Please use the email that I sent yesterday as the review letter and provided updated
documents. Truss manufacturers provided stability bracing for the trusses, but they typically
do not design out-of-plane bracing (i.e., wind, wall stability, etc.) for the exterior walls that are supporting the
trusses. or clarity, the connection between the truss bottom chord and wall top plate is a hinge point in the
wall, preventing adequate lateral resistance and stability for the wall. This must be addressed by the
EOR. Note that this bracing must also support a portion of tributary areas from the bottom half of the truss
area.
,J 0 rew Martin,P.E.,S.E.
ssociate Engineer—Commercial Plans Examiner I Permit Services
25.257.8813 13200 Cedar Street, 2nd Floor, Everett,WA 98201
Hours: M/W/Th/F:7:30am-12:00pm &1:OOpm-3:OOpm;Tu: 1:OOpm-3:OOpm
everettwa.gov I Facebook I Twitter
119
