Section 4 : That there is hereby appropriated out of the General Expense Fund of Everett , not otherwise budgeted, for use in the Department of the city Hall of the City of Everett the sum of Five Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ( ; 525.00) to pay such emergency expenditure , which sum shall be paid by the issuance of emergency warrants on such General Expense Fund by the proper officers of the City of Everett , as provided by law. Section 5: That a public emergency exists and the amount of the expenditure therefor could not have been reasonably foreseen at the time of the making of the budget for the year 1936, to wit : In October 1935; that said emergency has been caused by reason of the fact that the Federa Government under W. P. A. has made during the year 1936 grants of funds to the Park Department of Everett, which increased the cost of maintenance and operation of said Park Department; that the amount of money required to meet such emergency is the I estimated sum of Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars 0750.00) to pay t for the extra cost of maintenance and operation of said Park Department , and said amount is hereby appropriated to cover suclj. emergency. Section 6: That there is hereby appropriated out off the General Expense Fund of :-verett, not otherwise budgeted, for use in the Park Department of the City of Everett the sum of Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars 0750.00) to pay such emergency expenditure , which sum shall be paid by the issuance of emergency warrants on said General Current Expense Fund by the f proper officers of the City of Everett , as provided by law. Section 7 : That a public emergency exists and the amount of the expenditure therefor could not have been reasonably foreseen at the time of making the budget for the year 1936, to wit: In October 1935; that said emergency has been caused by reason of a break in the pipe line of the Everett Water Department on 10th Street between Hoyt avenue and the waterfront, which required the replacement of approximately 1 ,000 feet of 8 inch wood pipe with 12 inch steel pipe; that the amount of money required to meet such emergency is the estimated sum of `y'hirty-five Hundred Dollars (' 3500.00) to pay for the re- • placement of said pipe , and said amount is hereby appropriated to cover such emergency.
