Drew Martin
From: Drew Martin
Sent: Tuesday, February 2, 2021 12:21 PM
To: Philip Gerou
Cc: Alex Byrd
Subject: City of Everett Permit Services: 1130 75th Street SE (B2012-015) - First Intake Building
Review
Attachments: City of Everett - Small Home Project Guidelines.pdf; General Code Requirements.docx
Hello Mr. Gerou,
Your application has been received and a permit set up. However, the submitted documents are not sufficient
for us to perform a review at this time. Construction-level documents need to be submitted for
review. Information is attached to provide guidance. Preliminary comments are provided below to assist in
preparing the drawings, but these are not intended to provide a comprehensive review. Depending on your
experience with the model codes and preparing documents, we recommend consulting with a design
professional to assist you.
1. The submitted documents generally appear to include only sketch-level drawings for the existing and
proposed building; the drawings do not delineate between the existing and proposed
condition. Construction-level drawings should be submitted for review. The drawings should be to-
scale (minimum 1/4"=1'-0") and drawn using standard drafting conventions. The drawings should
include building sections, details, etc.
2. The plans appear to show the basement as finished. The available City of Everett and Snohomish
County records do not indicate that the basement is finished. The basement will need to comply with
current code requirements. Portions that do not comply will need to be returned to an unfinished
conditions and identified accordingly on the plans.
3. Structural framing plans may be required depending on the scope of work. Where structural
modifications will affect the existing systems, the existing systems must be specified (e.g., framing
sizes, spacing, and spans, etc.). Structural sections, details, general notes, and material requirements
should be included.
Review of your project will be performed in the order received once the required documentation has been
submitted. Please let me know if you have questions.
Drew Martin, P.E.,S.E.
am
aii Associate Engineer—Commercial Plans Examiner I Permit Services
425.257.8813 13200 Cedar Street, 2"d Floor, Everett,WA 98201
EVERETT Hours: M/W/Th/F: 7:30am-12:OOpm & 1:00pm-3:00pm;Tu: 1:OOpm-3:OOpm
everettwa.gov I Facebook I Twitter
COVID-19 Update: Please reference our website& online resources for updates to our service during the
COVID-19 pandemic.
