<br /> AN ORDINANCE repealing Section 49 of Ordinance No. 2513,
<br /> as amended by Ordinance No. 2630 , and amending section 50 of
<br /> Ordinance .To. 2513, known as the License Code, entitled as
<br /> follows:
<br /> "All ORDIJA CE relating to and providing for the licensing
<br /> and regulating of certain occupations, basinnesses, vocations,
<br /> trades, callings, amusements, places of amusement, exhibitions,
<br /> entertainments, animals, motor vehicles, places and establishments;
<br /> defining offenses, providing penalties; .providing for the revocation
<br /> of licenses; repealing Ordinances Tlo. 2196, 853, 1301, 1503, 1583,
<br /> 1585, 1595, 1598, 1771 , 1851 , 1932, 1941, 1948, 1964, 2087, 2182,
<br /> 2249, 2333, 2370, and 2038, and all other ordinances or parts of
<br /> ordinances in conflict therewith. "
<br /> THE CITY OP E'E R.ITT DOES ORDAIN:
<br /> Section 1. That Section 49, of Ordinance 2513, as amended
<br /> by Ordinance No. 2630 , of this city, be and the same is hereby
<br /> repealed.
<br /> Section 2. That section 50 of Ordinance Jo. 2513 of the
<br /> City of Everett be amended to read as follows, to-wit :
<br /> Section 50. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or
<br /> corporation to operate any motor truck or motor truck trailer
<br /> or cause either of the same to be operated in the dray or transfer
<br /> business within the limits of the City of Everett, without
<br /> first having obtained a dray license from the City Clerk, and
<br /> having paid to the City Treasurer therefor a license fee which
<br /> shall be as follows:
<br /> 15.00 for trucks weighing fifteen hundred (1500) pounds
<br /> or less.
<br /> 40.5.00 for trucks weighing more than fifteen hundred (1500)
<br /> pounds , and in addition thereto fifteen cents (15X) per hundred
<br /> pounds for all weight in excess of fifteen hundred (1500 ) pounds,
<br /> and also fifteen cents (15j') per hundred pounds on the rated
<br /> carrying capacity of such motor trucks or motor truck trailers.
<br /> One of the license plates procured from the City Clerk
<br /> shall be attached to the left side of said vehicle, and the
<br /> other to the right side of said vehicle, and attached in such
<br /> manner that they will be conspicuous and can be plainly seen
<br /> and read at all times.
<br /> Section 3. An emergency is hereby declared to exist, and
<br /> this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage
<br /> and publication.
