f� 5 F! f(?.5 i ,PR ?SE---TED ORD INA TCE No. � 6 $ 7 AN ORDINANCE providing for the crostruction of certain additia s to and betterments of the present water supply system of the City of Everett, specifying and adopting a plan for such improve-1 ments , declarin the estimated cost thereof, and submitting said plan grid the issuance of Special Water Revenue Bonds in the sum of not to exceed One Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ( 1 , 300 ,000.00) in payment thereof , to the qualified voters of the City of Everett for ratification or rejection, at a special election to be held therein on the day of June , 1936, and declaring an emergency. WHEREAS, the City of Everett now owns and operates a municipal water system, supplying said city and its inhabitants with water; and WHEREAS, in order to provide for delivery of sufficien water to supply the demand therefor it is necessary to construct additional pipe line for the purpose of delivering additional water into the city reservoirs and to the industrial plants 1lsinc the sane. NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Everett does ORDAIN: Section 1: The City of Everett hereby proposes, specifies and adopts the following system or plan for additions to or betterments of the existing water works system, to grit : The construction and laying of a pipe line varying from 36 inches to 52 inches in diameter from the outlet of Tunnel o. 2 at Lake Chaplain and following the present e40. 2 line to Everett at a point near California and Harrison Streets in said City, across to City Reservoir No. 2 and then to a point on :c Orton Avenue in said City near the plant of the Sound View Pulp Company, together with all necessary valves, shutoffs and other structures and appurtenances necessary for the construction, control and operation of said pipeline , and the acquiring by purchase or condemnation of all necessary easements or rights of way for the construction of said improvements. The estimated cost of all of said additions and better ments to said water works system, as hereinbefore set forth, is hereby found and declared to be the sum of One Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars G1, 300,000.00) .
