i J ORDINANCE No. 2686 An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 869 of the City of Everett entitled as follows: "An Ordinance relating to the removal of garbage, refuse, ashes, filth and other substances in the City of Everett, relating to the licensing of city scavengers, pre- scribing the powers and duties of such scavengers, regulating the amount of charges to be made by them for scavenger work, prescribin the punishment for the violation thereof and repealing Ordinances No. 33, No. 44 and No. 299 of the City , of Everett, " by amending Section 4 of said Ordinance and by adding thereto a section to be known as Section 4A, and declring an emergency. THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 869 of the City of Everett be, and the same is hereby amended to read, as follows: Section 4: The license fee to be paid by any such person, company or corporation for a license to engage in the business aforesaid, is hereby fixed at the sum of One Hundred Dollars (.100.00) per year, to be paid annually in advance, provided that all licenses issued under this Ordinance shall expire on the 31st day of December of the year issued. e +' Upon the approval by the Commissioner of 2ublic Works of the application, and the approval by the City Attorney of the bond herein provided for, the City Council of the City of Everett may authorize the issuance of any license herein provided for, and when so authorized by the City Council the City Clerk shall issue a license which shall contain the name of the person, company or corporation to whom issued, the business for which the same is issued. and the date of commencement and date of expiration thereof, and deliver such license to the City ' reasurer, and the said Treasurer shall collect from the person, company or corpora- tion named in such license the amount therein named and upon payment to him of such amount, shall deliver such license to the licensee named therein. Section 2: That Ordinance No. 869 of the City of Everett shall be amended by adding thereto a section to be known as Section 44., which section shall read as follows: Section 4A: That the City Council of the City of Everett be, and it is hereby authorized, and it is its duty to do and perform all things which the Board of Public Works was authorized or required to do and perfrom under this Ordinance.
