. ro, <br /> ORDINANCE NO. : '7..i <br /> An Ordinance providing for the fixing and determining <br /> of the various officers, assistants, deputies and employees <br /> in the engineering department, street and sewer department and <br /> water department of the City of Lverett, Washington; prescribing <br /> the duties of such officers, assistants, deputies and employees, <br /> and fixing their salaries and amending Section 8 of Ordinance <br /> No. 2483, Sections 9 and 14 of Ordinance No. 2483 as amended by <br /> Ordinance _vo. 2627, and amending Sections 18, 25 and 27 of <br /> ordinance A. 2627 as amended by Ordinance No. 2667, and declar- <br /> ing an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERET2 DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 8 of 6rdinance ;o. 2483 be <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 8: There shall be the following named <br /> officers and assistants in the engineering department : <br /> Principal Assistant Engineer, Assistant Engineer; <br /> Two 'ransitmen; Two Draftsmen, Stenographer; Two Head Chainmen; <br /> Two Rear Chainmen, Two Axe yen, Two Level Len, pour Inspectors, <br /> Draftsman, Two Liod _en, Foreman and Abstract Clerk. <br /> That each of the above named officers and assistants <br /> shall perform the duties indicated by the name of his respective <br /> employment, and such other duties as the City Engineer shall, <br /> from time to time, authorize and uetermine. <br /> Section 2: That Section 9 of Ordinance No. 2483 <br /> as amended by Ordinance No. 2627 be amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 9: There shall be the following named <br /> officers and assistants in the street and sewer department , <br /> to wit: <br /> Street Superintendent, Handiman, Junior Clerk, Clerk, <br /> Senior Clerk, Junior Clerk Typist, Clerk Typist, -foreman, Two <br /> Gradermen, Flusherman, Street Fainter, Eight Truck Lrivers, <br /> Two Drainage Inspectors and Twenty-five Common Laborers. <br /> All of the above named officers and assistants shall <br /> perform the duties indicated by their respective employment, <br /> and such other duties as the superintendent of streets shall, <br /> from time to time , determine. The superintendent of streets <br /> shall be the administrative head of this department . <br />
