ORDINANCE NO. 2675 . <br /> An Ordinance providing for an emergency expenditure for <br /> the employment in the Health Department of the city of Everett <br /> of a Meat Inspector for a period of eleven months , providing <br /> for the issuance of emergency warrants therefor in payment of <br /> said services out of the General Fund, and declaring an emer- <br /> gency: <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That a public emergency exists and that the <br /> amount of the expenditure therefor could not reasonably be <br /> foreseen at the time of the making of the - udget for the year <br /> 1936, to-wit, in October, 1935; that said emergency has been <br /> caused by reason of the fact that meat is being sold in the <br /> city of Everett in violation of the rules , regulations and or- <br /> dinances of said city relating thereto, endangering the health <br /> of the citizens of Everett, and that there is immediate neces- <br /> sity for employing a meat inspector in the Health Department <br /> of the city of Everett for a period of eleven (11) months; <br /> that the amount of money required to meet such emergency is in <br /> the estimated sum of Eight Hundred Twenty-five ( p825.00) Dol- <br /> lars , to pay such officer at the rate of Seventy-five ( 75.00) <br /> Dollars per month, and said amount is hereby appropriated to <br /> cover such emergency. <br /> Section 2 That there is hereby appropriated out of the <br /> General Current Expense Fund of Everett not otherwise budgeted <br /> the sum of Eight Hundred Twenty-five ( 825.00) Dollars, to pay <br /> such emergency expenditure, which said warrant or warrants <br /> shall be paid by the issuance of emergency warrants on such <br /> General Current Expense Fund by the proper officials of Everett <br /> as is provided 1J,y law. <br /> Section 3: That it appearing that this Ordinance and <br /> -1- <br />
