ORDINANCE NO. 2675 . An Ordinance providing for an emergency expenditure for the employment in the Health Department of the city of Everett of a Meat Inspector for a period of eleven months , providing for the issuance of emergency warrants therefor in payment of said services out of the General Fund, and declaring an emer- gency: THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That a public emergency exists and that the amount of the expenditure therefor could not reasonably be foreseen at the time of the making of the - udget for the year 1936, to-wit, in October, 1935; that said emergency has been caused by reason of the fact that meat is being sold in the city of Everett in violation of the rules , regulations and or- dinances of said city relating thereto, endangering the health of the citizens of Everett, and that there is immediate neces- sity for employing a meat inspector in the Health Department of the city of Everett for a period of eleven (11) months; that the amount of money required to meet such emergency is in the estimated sum of Eight Hundred Twenty-five ( p825.00) Dol- lars , to pay such officer at the rate of Seventy-five ( 75.00) Dollars per month, and said amount is hereby appropriated to cover such emergency. Section 2 That there is hereby appropriated out of the General Current Expense Fund of Everett not otherwise budgeted the sum of Eight Hundred Twenty-five ( 825.00) Dollars, to pay such emergency expenditure, which said warrant or warrants shall be paid by the issuance of emergency warrants on such General Current Expense Fund by the proper officials of Everett as is provided 1J,y law. Section 3: That it appearing that this Ordinance and -1-
