ORDINANCE NO. 2666, <br /> An Ordinance providing for an emergency expenditure for the employment <br /> in the health department of a meat inspector for a period of three months <br /> in the city of Everett , providing for the issuance of emergency warrants <br /> therefor in payment of such services out of the general fund and declaring <br /> an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF SVERETT DOES ORDAIN; <br /> Section 1 . That a public emergency exists and that the amount of the <br /> expenditure therefor could not reasonably be foreseen at the time of the <br /> making of the budget for the year 193 5 ( to-wit , in October, 1934 ) ; that <br /> said emergency has been caused by the immediate necessity of employing a <br /> meat inspector in the health department of the city of Everett for a period <br /> cf three months. <br /> That the amount of money required to meet such emergency is in the es- <br /> timated sum of event.y-five (4 75.00), , Dollars, to pay such offi- <br /> cer at the rate of 25.00 per month, and said amount is hereby appropriated <br /> to cover such emergency. <br /> Section 2. That there is hereby appropriated out of the general cur- <br /> rent expense fund of Everett not otherwise budgeted the sum of Two Hundred. <br /> Twenty-five ( 225.00) Dollars to pay such emergency expenditures which said. <br /> warrant or warrants shall be paid by the issuance of emergency warrants on <br /> such general current expense fund , by the proper officers of Everett , as is <br /> provided by law . <br /> Section 3. It appearing that this Ordinance and said appropriation <br /> are necessary for the preservation of the peace , health and public welfare <br /> of the city of Everett, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, bringing <br /> such appropriation within Section 6 of Chapter 158 of the Laws of Washington, <br /> 1923, and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and <br /> publication. <br /> Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> City Clerk <br /> lbssed : Dec . 11 , 1935 <br /> Published; Dec. 12, 1935, <br />
