.- <br /> r s <br /> ORDINAICE NO. 2665 <br /> An Ordinance authorizing the sale by the City of Everett of Lots 8 and <br /> 9, Block 399, St . Nicholas Addition to Everett, Snohomish County, Washington, <br /> to W. D. Van Winkle, directing the proper officers to execute and deliver a <br /> quit claim deed therefor, and declaring an emergency. <br /> WHEREAS , the City of Everett has acquired an interest in the hereinaf- <br /> ter described real property by deed issued to it on February 20, 1932, under <br /> foreclosure proceedings upon L.I.D. assessments and the general taxes amount <br /> to very nearly a fair value of said real property and are now due and unpaid; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS , one W. D. Van Winkle has made an offer of the sum of 05.00 in <br /> cash for the City of Everett's interest in and to the said property, subject <br /> to the unpaid and past due general taxes thereon, which sum is deemed by the <br /> City Council as a fair consideration for such real property and the said City <br /> of Everett has received no other and no larger offer for said property; Now, <br /> Therefore , <br /> THE CITY OF E ERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That the following described property owned by the City of <br /> Everett as aforesaid and situate in said City, to-wit: <br /> Lots 8 and 9, Block 399 , St. Nicholas Addition to Everett , <br /> Snohomish County, Washington, together with the appurten- <br /> ances thereunto belonging, <br /> be sold to the said W. D. Van Winkle for the sum of w;75 in cash, subject to <br /> all unpaid general taxes and local improvement assessments other than the <br /> particular installment or installments set out in the judgment and sale at <br /> the time the same was acquired by the city of Everett . <br /> Section 2: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and in- <br /> structed to execute and deliver the necessary instrument to quit-claim the <br /> interest of the city of Everett , under the provisions of this Ordinance . <br /> Section 3: That it is to the best interests of the city of Everett that <br /> said property be disposed of in accordance with a motion entered upon the • <br /> minutes of the City Council, and an emergency is hereby declared to exist and <br /> this Ordinance shall. take effect immediately upon its passage and publication. <br /> Attest: Mayor <br /> City Clerk <br /> Pzssed : Dec. 4, 1935. <br /> Published: Dec. 6, 1935. <br />
